Set Up A Craft Show Booth

Setting up a craft show booth is challenging but fun. You need to create an inviting space that has visual appeal and is easy to navigate. Get the dimensions ahead of time if possible for where your booth will be located in a craft fair or other exhibition so you can plan ahead and make it especially inviting. Here are some ideas for setting up a craft show booth.

Instructions

1. Decide what you will use to display your items. Choose tables and shelves that are portable and easy to assemble.

2. Purchase a tent or a sun shade. Make sure you have weights to keep your tent and tables secure on a windy day.

3. Find creative ways to display your items. Add decorative elements like potted plants, vases of flowers, and balloons. Display small items in inexpensive baskets or vintage bowls. Use a theme. For example, if you are selling tableware, include a small table set with place settings and your items. For outdoor products, create a garden scene to showcase the items you are selling.

4. Create a space that allows potential buyers to browse without being crowded. Include empty areas where they can put down their bags, write checks and look over their potential purchases.

5. Show the buyers how the items will look in their own surroundings. If you make tissue box covers, include a covered tissue box. If you make clothes or jewelry, use mannequins to display them.

6. Make a banner with your business name. Make sure it is neat and printed in large letters that are easy to read. Coordinate the colors in your banner with the products you are selling. Display your business cards prominently in a few areas within your booth.

7. Set up your display in your home or yard prior to the show. Rearrange items until you find a setting that creates the most visual appeal.
