Use A Paasche Vlsset Airbrush

Use a Paasche VLS-Set Airbrush

The Paasche VLS is a powerful and versatile airbrush used by professionals and beginners alike. The VLS is easy to use, as long as you follow some very simple steps.

Instructions

1. Connect your airbrush to an air supply. The Paasche VLS airbrush works with almost any air compressor or propellant air supply, but works best with airbrush compressors made by Paasche. Paasche airbrushes use a 1/4-inch hose attachment rather than the customary 1/8-inch attachment, so make sure you use a Paasche hose to connect your compressor or propellant to your airbrush.

2. Mix your paints until they are the proper consistency and load the color into your airbrush. The Paasche VLS is a bottom feed airbrush so you'll have to load your paint into a 3- or 5-oz. glass airbrush bottle.

3. Use the airbrush to apply the paint. The Paasche VLS is a dual-action airbrush. To apply paint, press down on the trigger which will let air shoot through the airbrush. Then pull back on the trigger, which adds paint to the air. The air spreads the paint out into a fine pattern as it is applied to the surface.

4. Use masking and frisket (clear paper with an adhesive backing that can be cut to any shape) to avoid overspray. Although the Paasche VLS allows for very precise lines, some paint can inadvertently get applied to areas you don't want it to.
