The Easiest Way To Create Photo Albums

Create a photo album by using a scrapbook filled with keepsakes.

A photo album contains a collection of memories. Organizing different events and milestones into albums is a way to sort out and preserve your memories so you can cherish them for years to come. In today's modern world, there are a lot of simple ways you can save your photographs. For example, you can put and store them online. You can also affix them in a decorative way in a tangible album without spending a lot of money and time. Choose an option that is easiest for you.

Instructions

1. Create a digital photo album by using websites like Microsoft, Shutterfly and Snapfish. You can easily upload digital photographs and use templates to display your images in albums. Use websites that do not have any registration fees.

2. Purchase custom photos books by uploading your pictures to websites such as Shutterfly and MyPublisher. You can create photo books by uploading any number of digital photographs and positioning them on pages or an album style of your choice. There is a cost involved with this type of photo album, but the process is relatively simple and you can vary sizes and colors to suit the occasion.

3. Make a photo album by using a scrapbook. Purchase a blank scrapbook from a craft store, and organize your photographs according to date, event or theme. Position your photographs in any manner you want, but play with the layout before you affix them to the pages with acid-free glue stick. Add backgrounds, stickers and keepsakes to personalize your album. In addition, use various inspirational or sentimental quotes, and add other mementos such as certificates, ribbons or special pieces of fabric to embellish your album pages and the outer cover.

4. Construct your own scrapbook by using about 10 sheets of construction paper. All the sheets should be the same size. Punch two holes, one atop the other, on the left side of the sheets with a hole punch. Thread decorative ribbon or string through both holes to hold the sheets together. Tie a bow on the front side. Use glue stick or photo corners to stick your photographs to each page. Use front and back sides and embellishments such as stickers and ribbons.

5. Purchase a binder, as well as acid-free page protectors, that are appropriate for the binder you chose. You can normally find these at your local office supply store. Also buy card stock that will fit into the page protectors. Position photographs on the card stock before you permanently affix them. Paste photos onto both the front and back pages by using acid-free glue or photo corners. You should be able to fit at least two 4-by-6 photographs on each 8.5-by-11 sheet. Use one card stock color, such as black or white, for a unified theme, or use various shades to make colorful album pages. Insert the card stock sheets into the page protectors, and then put them into the binder in chronological order. Stick a label and a photograph on the front of the binder.
