Remove Paint From Windows

Remove Paint from Windows

By following some simple techniques, removing paint from a window can be successfully accomplished with some basic household products.

Instructions

1. Fill a bucket with water and add as much dish soap as you would if you were going to wash dishes in the bucket. The soap makes the window glass slippery, and this will enable the window scraper to do its job without scratching the surface of the window.

2. Apply the soapy water to the glass liberally with a clean cotton rag or spray bottle.

3. Test a small area of the glass with the window scraper to make sure the glass isn't scratching. If it is scratching, add a bit more dish soap to the water and reapply to the window glass.

4. Hold the scraper at a 30-45 degree angle and scrape away all paint from the window surface.

5. Clean the scraped window surface with household window cleanser to remove all paint chips and residue.

6. Dry window with newspaper to prevent streaking.
