Spray Paint A Poster

Using spray paint can help decorate your poster and make a point. If you don't have a strong artistic hand, you can make use of stencils to make your poster look neat and tidy while getting your message across. Poster board projects work well for the classroom, for inter-school campaigns or for bringing something special to other people's attention. Before spray painting, you may want to test the spray paint out to make sure you don't get it all over the place.

Instructions

1. Arrange your stencils how you would like them to appear on your poster. This may include letters or graphics. Try and keep them straight by using a ruler to make sure the letters aren't "dipping" to one side or the other.

2. Tape the stencils in place with masking tape.

3. Take your poster outside to make sure you don't get the spray paint all over the place.

4. Spray the spray paint over the stencils with the colors you've chosen. Be careful to try and keep the color within the letters. You won't be able to get it only within the letters, but if you aim for that, the result will be far less messy.

5. Let dry. Read the back of the spray paint to see how long that particular spray paint will take to dry.

6. Remove stencils carefully.

7. Touch up any areas that need it with a paint brush and paint of the same color as the spray paint.
