Spray Paint T Shirt Ideas

You can use spray paint to stencil designs on T-shirts.

Put any design or phrase on a T-shirt with spray paint. It's a good idea to use stencils to create designs with spray paint because it's difficult to control the strong aerosol spray. Using stencils for shapes, letters and designs will make clean prints on a T-shirt from spray paint.

Shapes and Patterns

Shapes and patterns are straightforward designs to spray paint onto T-shirts. Make circular, triangular or rectangular stencils and apply them individually onto a T-shirt or combine shapes randomly or in patterns on a T-shirt. Also, create more dynamic designs to spray paint onto T-shirts, such as lightning bolts, flowers and stripes.

Letter and Words

Sport your favorite phrase or support an organization by spray painting letters and words on a T-shirt. Make letter stencils and combine and rearrange them on a T-shirt to express whatever you desire. Consider making or buying a variety of letter sizes so you can create large and small words.

People and Animals

T-shirts with people and animals spray painted on them generally are made with more intricate stencils. Look in books and on websites for ideas and templates on creating these more complex designs. You can also combine a person or animal on a T-shirt with letters or words. For example, a T-shirt for a child could have a design of an elephant with the letter "E" below it, or an adult could have his favorite author on a T-shirt with a famous book title or quote beneath it.

Sports

T-shirts commonly show support for sports teams and players. You can spray paint a logo or mascot from your favorite sports team. Also, make stencils of a community or school sports-team logo to create spray-painted shirts to sell for fund raising. Create a distinctive logo for a club or intramural team and spray paint it on T-shirts for the team to wear while playing sports.
