Sell Native American Art

There are many outlets for selling your artwork.

Selling your Native American art pieces can be challenging if you are doing it on your own. Luckily, there are several outlets that can help you sell your work and get lots of exposure. Your artwork may not sell instantly, but if you are consistent in your efforts, you will reap the benefits of your hard work.

Instructions

1. Sell the art to collectors. Go to The Art Collector website and apply for a position as an artist. Send the online gallery director photos of the Native art pieces, your name, address, telephone number, email and personal website. Give a description of the piece, emphasizing its Native American influence. Wait for a reply from the gallery director via phone or email. This is a good way to get exposure.

2. Create an account on Facebook, a powerful tool for advertisement and exposure. Add as many friends and people as possible. Join groups on the site that involve art. Post samples of your work on your page. Note on your art postings that the pieces are available to purchase.

3. Sell your art to local art galleries. Tell the gallery director what your art is worth. Be willing to come down on your asking price, because the director will base your price on the sale of similar work. Sign a consignment agreement with the gallery, if you are not satisfied with the offer. Keep in mind that art consignments may take awhile to sell, but your piece will get a lot of exposure.

4. Sell your art on online auction sites. Create an account on eBay. Post your artwork at a fixed rate or create an auction. Add a reserve price, if you are firm on a certain amount of money you want to make. Include details, such as what tools you used and the name of the art piece in the post description. State that you only sell to serious bidders. Create a PayPal account to secure payment transactions.
