Stencil Graffiti Simply

Creating stencil graffiti is a quick form of artistic expression.


Knowing create simple graffiti using stencils will save you time and effort. Using a stencil is an easy way to repeatedly replicate the same image. Graffiti has become an acceptable form of art. Artists such as Banksy have popularized the art form and have inspired many people to try their hands at stencil graffiti. Stenciling graffiti is an easy form of self-expression.


Instructions


1. Obtain a stencil. Purchase stencils or make them easily using simple materials such as a drafting knife and thick card stock.


2. Choose a location for your graffiti. The surface you choose should ideally be smooth, or as smooth as possible, so the stencil will lay flat against the surface.


3. Pick a color of spray paint to use. While graffiti is often multicolored, in order to save time it is essential to keep your graffiti as simple as possible.


4. Adhere the stencil to the surface using spray adhesive or masking tape.


5. Aim the spray paint nozzle 6 to 8 inches from the stencil. Spray with an even back and forth motion until the paint fills the stencil.


6. Remove the stencil.
