Print Graphic Art

Graphic art is a booming industry with uses in virtually every commercial enterprise, from advertising to comic book printing. This bright, colorful style is enticing and fun to use in room decoration. Computer-based artists and designers also prefer to retain a print copy of their best graphics for their portfolio. Whatever your reasons for printing out graphic work, you simply need to save the image and send it to a print shop.

Instructions

1. Save the graphic at the highest possible resolution (image quality).

2. Find a print shop. There are shops that specialize in creating prints for artists or art-quality prints. They have better-quality papers and possibly printable canvas, and a variety of large, nonstandard size printers. You can find shops like these in areas near art schools or artists communities.

3. Learn the highest-quality resolution the store can print and edit your image as necessary.

4. Send your image file to the print shop. You'll do this by saving the image on a flashdrive, CD or DVD and giving it to the shop attendants. If using an online print shop, upload your image to the form and send it in for the shop to print.

5. Print out the graphic art, either by approving the online shop's process or by having a shop attendant do it for you. If the image is small and you have experience using the printer, the attendant may allow you to print it, but the attendants always print large images.

6. Apply a fixative to the finished piece to ensure the ink will not smudge. Choose one with a matte finish, unless you want the image to be glossy.
