Use Microsoft Publisher To Create A Greeting Card

With Microsoft Office's Publisher, you can make your own greeting cards and give them a personal touch. Follow these steps.

Instructions

1. Open the Publisher program. Under the "File" menu, select "New." Under the "Start From a Design" navigation pane, click on "Greeting Cards."

2. Scan the various card styles in the right pane and click on your favorite. To quickly scan your options for a specific occasion, study the "Greeting Card" navigation pane. Click on the appropriate category, such as "Birthday."

3. In the "Greeting Card" navigation pane, click on the different "Layout" styles, such as "Greetings Bar" or "Juxtaposition." Choose one.

4. Select a folding pattern. In the "Greeting Card" navigation pane, click on the different "Size and Fold" choices for specific label sizes. Select your preference.

5. Change the greeting card's colors. Click "Color Schemes" in the left-hand pane. Click on different color schemes to preview how your card will look.

6. Change the card's font style. Click "Font Schemes" in the left-hand pane. Clicking on the various options will apply them to your card in a preview.

7. Review your greeting card. At the bottom of the greeting card design pane, click on the numbered icons that resemble small pieces of paper. Scroll through each page.

8. Write your greeting card message. Double-click inside a text box and start typing.

9. Under the "File" menu, click "Print." Confirm that you have selected the appropriate printer, that you have chosen "All" pages for printing and then select the number of copies. Click "OK."

10. Save the greeting card. Under the "File" menu, click "Save." Browse to the location on your computer where you want to save your creation. In the "File name" box, type a name for your greeting card. Click "Save" once more. Done.
