Roseart Shrink Art Instructions

Shrink art is used to turn original designs and drawings into miniature plastic pieces of art. The creations can be used to make items such as jewelry, pendants and magnets. The kits created by Roseart come in a variety of sizes, containing colored pencils, pre made designs and plastic sheeting. Roseart shrink art can be made in just a few steps.

Instructions

1. Select a design from the box or design something of your own. You can create your own design by drawing with a black pen on a piece of white paper.

2. Place the design on a flat surface.

3. Set one of the Roseart plastic sheets over top of the design.

4. Use a colored pencil from the kit to trace the design onto the sheet.

5. Color the newly transferred design using the colored pencils.

6. Use scissors to cut the design out. Do not cut directly on top of the lines. Instead, leave a 1/2-inch border around the image.

7. Preheat an oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

8. Use butter or nonstick spray to grease a cookie sheet.

9. Place the cutouts on the cookie sheet with the design facing upwards.

10. Keep the shrink art in the oven until all the cutouts shrink and flatten out. This will take between three and five minutes.

11. Remove the designs from the oven carefully. Allow them to cool off for at least 10 minutes before touching them.
